Fake lacoste?

i have a lacoste clutch wristlet (pink) and blue lacoste sneakers i think may be fake. both were purchased from a well-known and respectable department store. the purse was made in vietnam, the shoes were made in thailand. i compared the croc logo to a lacoste polo i have that i know is real. the line that goes from the mouth to the eye on the croc is not there on the shoes or purse. The upper teeth are not very pronounced on the purse. depending on where the items were made, could they be fake? i hope not!

Reply:Don't assume that a 'Made in Thailand' tag means a fake. Thailand is used by many 'Western' footwear and clothing companies to manufacturer products. I know of Reebok, Gap, Old Navy, etc, but there are hundreds more.

The problem is that fakes are so good now that even the Thai authorities have problems determining which ones are real. I was speaking to someone last week from one of the footwear companies who said they couldn't even spot their own shoes and those made by a counterfeiter. That said, it would be serious if you did buy a fake from a reputable shop.
Reply:Yes, they are fake. My sister has a few fake lacoste items, none of which she knew they were fake until she purchased things from the store itself.
Reply:they could be fake, but from your description, ti wouldn't seem so....
