How do i get the smell out of leather shoes?

I have a pair of leather shoes which i cant wear socks with(wrong style). Now unfortunatly the really smell and i dont know what to clean them with with out ruining the leather upper.

i tried bi carb soda in them for 2 days and that didnt really help much, so i tried scrubbing the inner sole with bicarb and water (synthetic sole) but that didnt really help either which leads me to believe the smell is in the leather, how can i get it out.

oh and i do have ourdor eaters in them yes

How do i get the smell out of leather shoes?
If odor eaters arent doing it then the smell is in the uppers. With synthetic soles and well polished and maintained uppers, they probably don%26#039;t have too much chance to breathe

Try filling them with scented absorbent cat litter overnight and then get in the habit of putting talcum powder (or powdered starch, or athletes foot powder) on your feet before you wear these shoes, to work as a sweat-absorbing barrier so no more gets into the porous underside of the leather.
Reply:baking soda should help soak up the odor. But, everytime you wear them, the sweat on your feet will wick into the leather, and just get them stinkier. Look a some dudes sandals, you know how nasty they get. Well, you are doing the same thing, but your feet are not airing out like if you were wearing sandals. It%26#039;s just gonna be nasty.
Reply:Put an air freshner in with a wet cloth and leave for a few days
