Is it possible to break or tear a vein in the back of your neck and then the blood runs down into your arm?

My mother, 86, said she bent over to tie her shoe, heard a crack sound in the back of her neck. She had pain and the blood ran into the upper part of her left arm. Her vein in the arm seemed larger also. She told no one at the time and the brusing color and soreness lasted for awhile.





I have never heard of this or anything close. Any information would be appreciated.

Yes, but kind of unusual. See it a lot in the leg veins.





Would see a doctor just to make sure.
